Released as part of the Growing Wings collection by New Zealand's Cardrona Distillery, to celebrate its fifth anniversary, it was bottled at a cask strength of 65.6% ABV. Packed with heaps of glorious syrupy fruit and nut character from the sherry butt, balanced by creamy bourbon oak vanilla � it's another top notch bottling from this exciting young distillery. Nose: Pecan pastries, vanilla custard, zesty barley, and spiced sultanas. Palate: More juicy sultanas are joined by dates and candied orange peel, with a dollop of vanilla clotted cream and caramelised nuts. Finish: Treacly oak, vanilla prevails with lots of boozy fruit and a dash of peppery warmth.
