Size: 700ML Proof: 94 (47% ABV) Origin: Venezuela Distillery: DUSA Distillery In collaboration with local communities and the benefit of their knowledge, herbs and fruits were handpicked in the rainforest at their peak, avoiding impurities and assuring the best quality. The master distiller then combines ten exotic ingredients, with eight traditional gin botanicals, along with one local fruit. The botanicals are first macerated individually in grain alcohol, and then distilled separately in small batch copper pots stills. Nose: Intense, fruity notes f passionfruit and grapefruit. Trace notes of black pepper and lush, damp greenery from the Amazonian rainforest. Palate: Complex, with dominant herbaceous flavors, with trace notes of tropical citrus. Finish: Bright and citrusy, with a balanced freshness on the end. Back in 1959, the distillery belonged to Licorerias Unidas S.A., whose main shareholder was Seagrams international, a massive gin producer of the time. Over time, the distillery has grown to make a name for itself and producing a wide-range of spirits. including, but certainly not limited to Diplomatico Rum.
