Vino de Naranja, from Andalusia, Spain, is the �Orange Wine� fermented from grapes, macerated with the dried, bitter peels of Seville oranges, and aged in oak casks using the traditional Solera method. Southern Grace has filled Naranja casks with Conviction Straight Bourbon Whiskey, infusing it with the warm, citrus-sweet notes of the Mediterranean base spirit as they release from the wood, creating a perfect blend of the Old World and the New. Nose: The faint, sweet alcohol of fermented grapes mingled with dark chocolate and orange liqueur. Palate: Opens withlight sweetness of white grapes and the balancing acidity of the Seville Orange peel complement brown sugar and caramel. Allspice and vanilla dominate the mid palate as the robust Conviction Bourbon spice profile asserts itself. Finish: Candied oranges, dipped in dark chocolate are pervasive in the finish. With a buttery velvet mouthfeel, Conviction Naranja is lush and rich, creating a lingering flavor experience and a dynamic Draw that represents the entire flavor profile in one, quick breath, leaving the impression of Grand Marnier Creme Brulee or some such wonderful thing.
