Size:700ML Proof:86 (43%ABV) Origin: Guyana Distillery: Enmore A Demerara rum distilled by Enmore in 1988, matured in used bourbon casks until it was bottled by Bristol Spirits in the UK in 2008. Warming and sweet with burnt sugar and spice, followed by a long, dry finish - a great late-evening rum. Nose: Warming and sweet with burnt sugar and spice. Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour. Finish: The finish is long and dry. The Enmore distillery was founded in the 19th century in Guyana in South America by Edward Henry Potter and made rum until it shut its doors in 1993. Rum from this ghost distillery is now rare and highly-prized. It used a unique Coffey still which consisted of a wooden pot connected to a 25 plate analyser column and a 32 plate rectifying column. Happily when Enmore closed, this piece of distilling history was moved to the Diamond Distillery along with stills from other producers and its still producing rum to this day. But it isnt, strictly speaking, Enmore.
