This spirit balances the smoothness and mouthfeel that oak aging imparts with crisp and clean New World style. Undergoes a secondary barrel infusion of hand-harvested holy basil, lemon verbena, and rosemary. Round, full, soft texture with lemon and subtle spice. Size: 750ML Proof: 90 (45% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Filibuster Distillery Using locally sourced, hand-harvested fresh Holy Basil, Lemon Verbena and Rosemary grown in Shenandoah County, Fillibuster Distillery's Virginia-made gin is cut with Shenandoah Valley limestone well water to 45 percent(90 proof) and handcrafted one batch at a time. The combination of floral aromatics and herbal flavors with the richness of �Dual Cask� aging makes this gin unique, producing a round, full, soft texture with a hint of lemon and juniper, with a subtle spice on the finish. Filibuster is a Virginia-based distillery that (ironically) started out as a blending house with no plans to distill. Then, I can only imagine the inexorable draw as the craft Whiskey industry sang its siren song and the company purchased a defunct apple processing plant in the Shenandoah valley, in Virginia, and began installing stills. As is the case with just about every other distillery or �distillery� opened this decade, the liquid is not quite ready to barrel yet. Best guess, they started distilling in 2017 so expect real Filibuster juice around about 2021.
