MALFY ORIGINALE is distilled to a recipe that pays homage to the originators of gin - Italian Monks - who first distilled Juniper spirits at their monasteries along the Amalfi Coast as far back as 1050. Size: 750mL Proof: 82 (41% ABV) Origin: Italy Distillery: Torino Distillery Launched in early 2018, Malfy Gin Originale is distilled at the Torino Distillati, just outside Torino in Moncalieri. It is distilled in stainless steel vacuum still using juniper and five other botanicals including coriander, angelica and cassia bark. It is cut to proof with Italian spring water. This juniper-forward gin joins the brand's other gin, Malfy con Limone. Nose: Nice and bright on the nose with a balance of juniper, bright lemon, and a touch of ginger. Palate: On the palate, the juniper flavor is prominent, but not overwhelming. Finish: Clean and fresh as a summer breeze. The distillery is located in Moncalieri, situated just outside of the city of Torino; the facility is renowned for its production of wines, spirits, and liqueurs. Torino Distillati was established in 1906. To this day the distillery is run by the Vergnano family; Carlo and his wife Piera as well as their children Rita and Valter. The gin is distilled by Denis Muni and Pepe Ronco.
