Inspired by her mother’s homemade summer cocktail, affectionately called “Leah’s Summer Cooler,” Meredith", founder set out to create a cocktail that encapsulates the essence of summer in every sip while paying homage to both the Southside recipes from the 1920s and her mother’s original recipe, the company notes.
“We’re reviving a drink that was lost over time, for a ‘revival of the fittest,’ so to speak. I obsessed over every sip to make this once prohibition-era bathtub gin concoction a refreshing, crisp take on an old classic.” Mills-Merritt said in a statement. “The result is a delicious, crisp, aromatic, bar quality cocktail in a convenient, ready-to-drink (and enjoy) format.
