Nose:�Full of character notes of sweet, stewed fruits, sumptuous berries, dark toffee and silky honey. Palate: Smooth rich texture with sweet citrus notes balanced by chocolate, cherry and chili notes. Finish: Soft, dry and rounded. Adding water allows a pleasant, nutty spiciness to come through, recalling the cigar-box found on the nose, while there�s a cooling aftertaste. The Singleton is a family of single malt Scotch whiskies owned by Diageo. The range brings together the whiskies of three different distilleries � Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown � that each have a variety of different age-statement and cask finish expressions. The collection was launched in the mid 2000s and includes the Highland release The Singleton of Glen Ord (launched in Asian markets) and the Speyside malts The Singleton of Glendullan (for the American market) and The Singleton of Dufftown (for the UK and European travel markets). Since 2015 all three have been made more easily available across global markets. The Singleton brand name was first used for the Auchroisk Single Malt that is also part of the Diageo portfolio. This labeling ended in 2001, several years before the term was reintroduced in its current usage, and Auchroisk now appears in Diageo's Flora & Fauna range.
