Four Roses 'Secretariat Triple Crown' is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Secretariat�s record-breaking Triple Crown. Secretariat�s owner, Penny Chenery, with the help of Four Roses Master Distiller Jim Rutledge, selected the single barrel bourbon during Penny's visit to Four Roses� warehouse and bottling facility in Cox�s Creek, Ky. Size: 750ML Proof:�100 (50% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Four Roses Distillery The front of the Four Roses 'Secretariat Triple Crown bottle features an image of Secretariat with jockey Ron Turcotte, while the right side lists Secretariat�s unmatched finishing times in the three races of the Triple Crown: the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. The neck of the bottle is adorned with the blue and white checks of the Meadow Stables jockey silks. Four Roses only produced 3,500 Secretariat bottles, Nose: Sweet, creamy aromas. Hints of Seville orange marmalade and lemon zest. A hint of corn sweetness and caramel. Palate: Balanced, rich palate entry with marmalade and acacia honey. Cinnamon, lemon and oak. Finish: Oaky, spiced finish. Four Roses Distillery is a special place with a special page in history. One of only six distilleries that were permitted to operate during Prohibition to produce medicinal Bourbon, it has an intriguing history. Sitting on the banks of the Salt River in the serene rural part of Kentucky, it saw ups and downs, until it was resurrected in 2002.
