It�s nice to come across a product that is not trying to make a �gin� for people who really want vodka, nor is it trying push the flavor in outr� directions for reasons of gimmickry alone. But at the same time Big Gin is distinct. Size: 750ML Proof: 94 (47% ABV) Origin: United States Distillery: Captive Spirits Everything is bigger in America. The buildings, the movies and evidently even the gins cut an imposing figure, and Big Gin from Captive Spirits in Washington is certainly no slouch in that respect. Absolutely massive juniper notes with bright hints of pepper and citrus get packed into the fabulous craft spirit. It seems the only thing that's small about Big Gin is the batch sizes. Nose: Sweet juniper, jumps out from the start, followed by some hot pepper pops. Palate: Juniper all up in your palate. Floral notes, with citrus and coriander playing sidekick roles. Finish: More juniper? Of course, even the finish is rich with juniper! 'Distilled in Seattle, Washington the juniper-forward gin comes to life in three 100-gallon Vendome pot stills named Phyllis and Jean, and most recently Bobbe was added. The distillery moved from it's original home on 52nd Street in Ballard, to it's new home in the Coastal Transportations shipyard on the Queen Anne side of the Ballard Bridge. The new address is 1138 Ewing Street Suite C Seattle, WA 98119. There is free parking. The Flagship Distillery & Tasting Room officially opened July 2018. Hours are Thursday to Saturday noon to 6 pm; Sunday, during the Ballard Farmer's Market, from noon to 5 pm.'
