It is made from the finest molasses and distilled six times, then aged in American oak barrels for three years. The rum is then transferred to Pedro Ximenez barrels for an additional three years. This rum is aged for a total of six years, giving it a smooth and rich flavor that will have you wanting more. Diplomatico Ambassador Cask Strength is bottled at 40% ABV. It has an aroma of sweet vanilla, cocoa, caramel, and brown sugar. The taste is of vanilla, cocoa, caramel, and dark fruits. The finish is of vanilla, brown sugar, and caramel. Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming. Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end. Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
