Size: 750mL Proof: 80 (40% ABV) Origin: Spain Distillery: Jerez de la Frontera Made from a blend of rums from Guyana and Barbados that have been aged for at least 5 years, the Dos Maderas P.X. 5+5 Year Old Rum starts its life with these rums being shipped to the Williams & Humbert facility in Jerez where they carefully blended before being aged for a further 5 years with the first 3 in casks seasoned with Palo Cortado sherry and final two in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The end result is an exceptionally fruity and fabulously complex rum expression which they then tame with pure water prior to being bottled. Nose: Sweet aromas of caramel and oak Palate: Tastes of chocolate, cinnamon and caramel Finish: Rich smooth and sweet finish Founded 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert, Williams & Humbert has established itself as one Jerez� premier brandy and sherry producers famed primarily for their take on Brandy de Jerez. Despite achieving success in their category, however, the company has been taken an interest in expanding their horizons beyond the so-called "Sherry Triangle" and thus launched Dos Maderas - a rum brand that incorporates the knowledge and expertise they have gained from over a century of sherry and brandy production.
