Size:�700ML Proof:�116.8 (58.4%ABV) Origin: Guyana Distillery: Enmore An immense cask strength rum from Guyana's Enmore distillery, released as part of the independent Decadent Drinks Rum Sponge collection. Distilled in 1992, the rum spent a generous 29 years maturing before being bottled up at natural cask strength and boasts a richly robust, unctuous profile. Nose: Delicate and impressive depth on the nose. Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour. Finish: Powerful and impressive finish. The Enmore distillery was founded in the 19th century in Guyana in South America by Edward Henry Potter and made rum until it shut its doors in 1993. Rum from this �ghost� distillery is now rare and highly-prized. It used a unique Coffey still which consisted of a wooden pot connected to a 25 plate analyser column and a 32 plate rectifying column. Happily when Enmore closed, this piece of distilling history was moved to the Diamond Distillery along with stills from other producers and it�s still producing rum to this day. But it isn�t, strictly speaking, Enmore.
