Size: 750ML Proof: 82 (41% ABV) Origin: Ireland Distillery: Glendalough One of the more recent releases is the Glendalough Wild Botanical Irish Gin, a contemporary gin expression infused with various wild botanicals that replicate the flavors of each season from the fresh notes of spring, the warmth of summer, the ripeness of fall, and the bracing character of winter. Each batch of this gin begins with a neutral spirit as its foundation which is then re-distilled alongside a blend of botanicals specially selected and collected by forager Geraldine Kavanagh. After which, the finished gin is then diluted with pristine, locally sourced water before finally being bottled. Nose: Each sip of this gin begins with a crisp and bracing aroma of pine, juniper, lemon balm, and spice. Palate: A soft and fresh palate of honeysuckle, faint fruit notes, bittersweet citrus, more juniper, chewy peppercorns, grass, and floral notes. Finish: An extremely long and warming finish. Beginning operations in 2011, Glendalough holds the distinction of being Ireland�s first craft distillery. Founded by five friends with a passion for spirits and Irish lore, the brand combines time-honored traditions with various modern breakthroughs to craft a range of unique spirits unlike anything available in the market.
