Cuervo Gold is a smooth tequila, with a slightly sweet-seeming taste. It is a blend of premium and reposado tequilas. The tequila has been rested in oak for a minimum of two months, which gives it its amber hue. Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas. Palate: A rich, complex, and smooth taste. Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish. Jose Cuervo is produced at the La Rojeña distillery in the state of Jalisco in Mexico. The distillery was officially founded in 1812. It is the oldest active distillery in Latin America. After Ana González Rubio married José Cuervo Labastida in 1900, he renamed the distillery La Rojeña, and was the first to call the tequila produced there Jose Cuervo.
